Buying a new timepiece can be a rewarding and satisfying experience, particularly when that timepiece comes with the ability to alternate its straps, giving you more for your money. Removable and alternative straps are not only a way to incorporate your timepiece into both every day and formal occasions, but it is cost effective too. There are many different watches that either come with additional straps or have the ability to be interchangeable and there is plentiful choice this season for these types of models. From watches that can be switched from a bracelet to fabric, and vice versa, to those that have a myriad of different coloured straps available, we have a wide range to choose from. So whether you are looking for a sports watch, an everyday watch, or something a little smarter, we have put together our guide for the most popular timepieces with alternative straps available.

Pasha De Cartier Watches

Pasha De Cartier

Pasha de Cartier has been a cult watch since its creation in 1985 and became so popular that it even inspired a fragrance that took the same name. The new Pasha de Cartier line pays faithful homage to its predecessors while remaining contemporary and modern, setting the way to become iconic once again. This timepiece is sleeker and more streamlined, but is instantly recognisable as being part of the Pasha de Cartier family. The dial is stamped with a guilloche pattern and features a square filigree rail-track in the circle as well as four bold Arabic numerals and Cartier’s signature blued steel sword shaped hands. The bracelet is accentuated by the clous de Paris and features the QuickSwitch system, allowing for multiple different looks, each as striking as the next. It also features the iconic screw down crown cap attached to the case by a small chain.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Calendar

The Master collection by Jaeger-LeCoultre frees itself of accessories to focus on the essentials. Grandly elegant and recognisable because of its sleek design, the Master collection holds a variety of different models all comprised of their own unique features and complications. What they all have in common is sophisticated craftmanship and refined details, highlighting the pure savoir-faire of watchmaking and nothing else. The epitome of simple, luxurious design, this Jaeger-LeCoultre Master watch is presented in a striking 40mm stainless steel case and boasts a silver-tone moonphase dial equipped with blue-tone hands, protective sapphire crystal glass and minute markers around the outer rim. What is really special about this watch is that the calibre 866 movement has been upgraded with silicon parts and also introduces a jumping complication. Every month, the date hand makes a 90-degree leap from the 15th to the 16th, ensuring the moon-phase is never visually eclipsed. Powered by a reliable automatic movement and water resistant to 50 metres, this timepiece benefits from a 70-hour power reserve and fastens a calfskin leather strap with a secure deployment clasp that can be alternated and changed at a whim.

Vacheron Constantin Égérie

Vacheron Constantin Égérie

The Égérie Quartz is presented in an 18-carat 5N pink-gold 30mm case and comes with three alligator-leather straps in candied chestnut, raspberry pink and midnight blue. These can be interchanged without the use of any tools – an ingenious way to lend your day the perfect tone. Its silvered opaline dial is surrounded by a halo of round-cut diamonds, and still more encircle its date display – the off centre displays reinvent the manufacturers iconic models!  The Égérie watches are practical as well as beautiful, being water-resistant to 30m, making them as suitable for everyday as for after-dark wear. The dial features a pleated motif, similar to an Haute Couture fabric, created using a tapestry technique dating back to 1904. Haute couture meets haute horology.
