Impelled by a unifying spirit that salutes creativity as well as the quest for excellence, the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) highlights and yearly rewards the most remarkable contemporary creations in order to nurture the advancement of the art of horology worldwide.
Affectionately known as the Oscars of Watchmaking, the GPHG notably plays this unifying promotional role by staging an annual competition involving several hundreds of watches nominated by the esteemed Academy and attributing the highest awards in this domain.
Following the first-of-its kind exhibition of the 2022 GPHG winners, Watches of Switzerland is honored to extend the exclusive North American partnership with the GPHG as the organizing Partner of the United States exhibition and surrounding events. Our US flagship showroom in Soho, New York City will serve as the exclusive setting for showcasing the year’s most exceptional timepieces, and the 2023 GPHG nominees.
GPHG 2023 NOMINEES EXHIBITION AT WATCHES OF SWITZERLAND
Ahead of the November award ceremony, each year the GPHG honors the nominees with a round-the-world celebration of contemporary watchmaking vitality, creativity, and excellence during a world-wide roadshow presenting the nominated timepieces.
As an extension of our partnership with the GPHG, Watches of Switzerland will host the world’s exclusive North American exhibition of nominees from all 14 categories of the 2023 GPHG awards, in an effort to continue to expand and foster the United States watch community. This will be the first exhibition of the GPHG 2023 nominees and only public access to the collection of esteemed and prestigious horological pieces in North America.
This series of exhibitions enables an international audience to view and admire the most interesting watches produced during the year – an array of exceptional and sometimes unique timepieces specially gathered for these occasions – as well as to share moments of horological culture in the company of experienced experts.
