WHY WE LOVE IT
The Tank isn’t the only prominent wristwatch from luxury powerhouse Cartier.
Predating the Tank Louis by nearly two decades, the original Santos model was designed in 1904, and has seen any number of iterations in the past century — including a brilliant revival in recent years. Available in quartz, hand-wound and automatic varieties in different metals and configurations, it’s an important historical model and one of the maison’s finest creations.
This particular Santos, a Reference 2656, dates to circa the 2010s and features a 38mm stainless steel case with a polished steel bezel, a sapphire crystal, a sapphire cabochon crown, and a lovely satin silver dial with printed Roman indices and a matching luminous black sword handset. Fitted to an integrated black alligator leather strap with a steel push-button deployant clasp, this contemporary take on one of the great and earliest wrist watches in the world.
If you're Cartier-curious but the Tank Louis or the more classically-sized Santos don't speak to you, this modern and sporty take just might be the perfect fit.
OVERALL CONDITION
The case is in fantastic condition overall showing recent professional refinishing and faint signs of wear from careful handling. Satin silver dial with printed 'Roman' indices is in as-new condition with matching luminous black 'sword' handset. Sapphire cabochon crown.

Returns Policy
Our commitment to you does not end at delivery. We offer the following return services to make your experience as pleasant as possible.
10-Day Returns For Timepieces:Timepieces purchased online can be returned or exchanged within 10 days from when they are shipped or collected.
30-Day Returns For All Other Purchases:All other online purchases can be returned or exchanged within 30 days from when they are shipped or collected.
On presentation of the original receipt, your purchases may be returned or exchanged at any of our store locations. Alternatively, you may elect shipping to our facility with all the original paperwork. All refunds must be credited to the same tender used for the original purchase. To return the online purchases through secure shipping service, please contact our client service team who will provide you the shipping label.
All returns or exchanges must be in new, unworn condition, with no scratches or markings, not sized or adjusted and in their original packaging and with warranty cards / certificated and instruction booklets.
